AHA Hockey Duluth

AHA Hockey is pleased to announce an exciting opportunity for adult-recreational hockey players in the Duluth area!

WHO WE ARE:

Since its inception in 2001, AHA Hockey has established itself as the premier adult no-check hockey league in the greater Twin Cities area. From players learning how to play the game, through players with more advanced skills, the AHA has a home for you.

OUR MISSION:

AHA Hockey has two missions: two provide instruction to players learning how to play the game and to provide safe, fun competition for adults of all abilities. AHA’s Beginner program takes students through the basic skills of hockey and introduces players to the concepts of team play. AHA’s league play offers players the opportunity to play against players of similar ability. With multiple levels of play, players of all abilities can find a level to play that matches their skill.

OPEN HOCKEY:

To kick things off, we will be holding free Open Hockey at the D.E.C.C. on Sunday, December 7 from 6:00-7:30PM. Show up early for an open meeting and to meet the people of AHA Hockey. The open hockey session is open to Beginner and Intermediate players that are interested in playing organized hockey. Reserve your spot today by registering online! Don't forget to pass the word on to your friends and family!

ABOUT OUT PROGRAMS:

The Winter League will include regular season games, a playoff tournament, and possible post season tournament berths for qualifying teams. AHA league games offer:

- Two USA Hockey-certified referees
- Scorekeeper
- Player stats and standings available on AHA’s web site
- Three stop time periods, plus OT as time allows for tied games
- USA Hockey benefits

Our Beginner Program offers adults in the Duluth and surrounding area a chance to learn how to play the game. The program is divided into skating and hockey instructional sessions, followed by game sessions. As part of the instructional portion, there are two classroom sessions to maximize on ice time and allow participants to ask the coaches questions.
